My favorite part is the reference to the timeless classic "If God Loves Me, Why Can't I Get My Locker Open?" That hits close to home. Just last night I was having a dream about being in high school and forgetting the combination to my locker. Also, my class schedule. Also, to do my calculus homework. Also, to wear pants to school.

In the dream, an ex-girlfriend had started dating this pretty-boy Young Republican airhead who had announced that he was going to run for United States Senate. Except that the seat he was announcing for had just been up so he was making campaign speeches for an election that was six years away. He was getting all sorts of fawning attention from my classmates for making a bold proposal for environmental conservation. I recognized that his bold proposal was actually identical to a proposal previously made by Sen. Robert Byrd (D-WV) and defeated by Senate Republicans. Thus, I was plotting to humiliate him at his first school-wide press conference by outing his plagiarism, which I knew would make him look foolish and me look awesome in front of the girl who'd dumped me. Except for the whole forgetting to wear pants thing.
